ANGELO INTERVIEW

What is your full name?
Angelo Brian September.

Where and when were you born?
Cape Town, South Africa in 1982.

How old are you?
20 years old.

What is your star sign?
Gemini.

What are your favourite colours?
Blue, grey, white and red.

How long have you been in the group '4luv'?
Since 2002.

What got you interested in singing?
Around the age of 10 or 12 I started singing in our local church plays, after a while I found myself in the position of lead vocalist. However, my passion for singing comes from my taste in music, namely ballads. They make me very emotional even sometimes on stage!
Mostly it was the need to do something special and something I was good at. My talent has made me unique due to the fact that many people have the talent, but are never given the opportunity to use it.

What does music mean to you?
Music to me is a media through which I can express emotions, and turn to when I'm feeling low or even when I'm very happy. Music comes first, without it I'd be just an ordinary person living his life. Music is my future!

Tell me about yourself?
Well obviously I'm 20 years old and I love singing. Many people don't know that I have another passion, which is writing poetry. I love writing poems especially about finding love. I come from a family filled with love, i have a special mother and a little brother (who I love to bits). I am not your regular party animal, I enjoy my quiet moments but don't mind losing it now and again!
My favourite foods are chicken curry, pasta, and junk food. My hobby besides singing is football. Basically I'm just your boy next door!

Who are your idols in life?
Firstly our savior Jesus Christ, because without him nothing is possible. Secondly my mother Miss Joan September who raised not only me, but my little brother Austin on her own (what a woman!). Last but certainly not least is our former President, Mr. Nelson Mandela, who proved that if your belief is strong enough you can achieve any goals you set yourself.

Finally, what has music done for your life?
Music has broadened my perspective on life, and it has taught me to believe anything is possible. It has given me the opportunity to share my talents with the rest of the world, and to improve my life by experiencing different methods of living and loving. I have learnt to consider not only my own feelings and emotions but other peoples too, giving tribute to my fellow '4luv' colleagues. It has given me the chance to see the world in all it's glory, share cultures and experience new things. It has taken me out of the ghetto I lived in for nearly 20 years, and taken me forward in a positive direction.
Music has made me able to live my life the way I dreamed of living it. I thank the Lord everyday for blessing me this way, with a family who supports me and whom I love.
Thank you Father AMEN.
